A Wholesale Knife May Not Stand Up to Real World Abuse

Wholesale knife - There is some debate in the knife community about the recent deluge of wholesale knife options on the market. These are knives which can be easily found on nearly any online knife purveyor, most brick and mortar stores as well as in nearly endless numbers on infamous auction websites. Perfect for those who are looking for a cheap knife which they can tinker around with for a few days, the wholesale knife will generally only cost someone between one and thirty dollars depending on where you purchase it.  If you are able to acquire a large number of different wholesale knife styles for a very cheap rate, you should certainly keep them, as each knife is generally so poorly constructed that it will simply self destruct after any reasonably hard use. When compared to high quality knives from American or European manufacturers, the knife certainly does not stand up – perhaps this is why the prices on them are so amazingly low.

Production quality of the knife aside, there are other reasons why wholesale knives are not being embraced by the greater knife community. The reason for this is that many of the knife manufacturers simply directly copy the designs put out by famous custom and production knife makers. This blatant theft certainly cheapens the wholesale knife business as a whole, making those who actually know of the original design much less likely to support any business which copies those who are putting out countless hours of hard work to try and design the next great knife. Unfortunately for the average consumer who may not be as interested in custom knives or may not have enough money to purchase an original may simply buy a knife instead, taking business away from the custom makers. Furthermore, the cheaply made quality of the knife may eventually tarnish the reputation of a custom maker, as people may believe that the custom maker’s knives are of the same quality as the wholesale knife.
